Conquering the Croatian Coast on a BMW GS: Our Group's Adventure
I decided to rent a BMW GS with my friends and, the Dalmatian coast opened up for us. Riding the legendary twists of the Adriatic Highway 🛣️ on these powerful machines, we carved through mountain passes, stopped at secluded coves, and discovered villages we would have missed by car. From there, we took the ferry to the island of Lokrum. Exploring the island's trails 🏞️ on our GS bikes, the scent of pine and salt air made the ride absolutely epic. We could stop whenever we wanted—sometimes for a cliff jump into the sea, sometimes just to soak in the breathtaking views. What surprised us most was the capability. With these adventure motorcycles rented from Scooteralia, we could leave the ancient city walls in minutes and climb into the rugged Biokovo mountains ⛰️. The panorama from the top stretched across the Elaphiti Islands, with Dubrovnik's orange rooftops glowing below and the endless Adriatic sparkling in the sun. Later, we crossed the border into Montenegro, riding past breathtaking fjords and historic bay towns as if they were just next door. On a GS, distances shrink, and an entire region feels connected. By the end of the trip, we realized we had experienced more of Croatia on these motorcycles 🏍️ than we could have in weeks of any other travel. It wasn't just a rental—it was the ultimate freedom.
